They say in life it’s not all about the destination, It’s About The Journey. When my oldest son was killed in a car wreck in 2007, I felt my journey was over. Then music filled my soul and began to heal my heart. What was once lonely, broken place has been filled with beautiful music and the most amazing people. Bluegrass music is pure and honest. The focus is on the story and experiences. The message of my music is that of healing, love and hope. Dreams I had as a little girl have now become reality. The journey has only just begun.
Thank you, Jim VanCleve. Your talent is boundless. Your guiding hand as producer, musician and vocalist has been immeasurable. I am grateful for your friendship and willingness to share your knowledge.
Thank you to the everyone in the band for the effort you put into this project. Thank you, Sammy, Jason, Darrell, and Aaron. You are amazing!
Thank you, Jared Kennedy for Big City Blues. You captured in a song what those of us that are country at heart feel when city life is too much. A great song. Thanks for letting us record it.
Thank you to my family for their unconditional love and support. “This Love (A Song To My Parents)” is a song I wrote to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. As a young couple in love, they faced great adversity. Before they were to be married my dad lost his arm in a terrible car accident. At just 19, my mom supported him and never waivered despite those that doubted them. Their devotion and commitment to each other has been my guide to show me how to truly love.
I also want to thank my husband, Rick, who unconditionally supported this project, made it happen and was my rock through it all. I love you!
This album could not have happened without God’s guiding hand and my strong faith in Jesus Christ.
